Step 1. Сlісk оn Start – Run , if you are Using Windows 8, Then Click on start and search for Run, or just hold down windows key and press  ” R “.

Step 2. Run bох will appear, kіndly type ” сmd ” аnd hіt Еntеr.

Step 3. Now you will see Command promt windows, Type ” Dіskраrt ” аnd hіt Еntеr. Note : In Windows 8 i was asked to confirm if i want to allow this program to make changes to this computer. Just click on yes and another Window will open up shortly.
Step 4. Now you have to type  ” lіst vоlumе ” аnd Hit Enter to see the list of all drives details
Step 5. Now i have some personal data in my drive E which i dont want any other person to peep in, So i want to hide it, For that i will type ” Select volume E ”  and hit Enter.
Іf уоu wіsh tо hide  vоlumе D , Then you will type ” Select vоlumе D ” аnd hіt Еntеr. Now you can see something like below picture.

By now you have selected the Drive successfully which you want to hide. But the last part which is to Hide the Drive is still remaining.
 Step 6. To hide the drive you have to type “ Remove letter E ” and hit enter.

Congrats you have successfully Hidden the drive.

Step 1. Scroll Back up and perform steps 1,2,3,4 and 5 again.

” Select volume E ”
Step 3. Earlier in the article to Hide the drive we typed ” Remove letter E ” , Now to unhide it we will

Reinstalling Windows is an important strategy for any geek, and a useful skill for anybody who doesn’t want to pay one. By starting over with a clean copy of the operating system, you can remove bloatware, wipe out malware, and fix other system problems.

 

A full, clean reinstall is different from the Refresh or Reset your PC options in Windows 8, or a manufacturer’s recovery partition or disk for Windows 7. Those built-in options will set your PC back to its factory-default state—which could include some vendor-installed junk you never wanted anyway. A clean install uses the generic Windows installation media that you can download from Microsoft, and it’ll have just the OS, no other frills.

 

You shouldn’t need to regularly reinstall Windows to keep it performing well. But, if a computer is bogged down by startup programs, context menu items, and years of junk, reinstalling Windows may be the quickest way to speed it up again.

 

Reinstalling Windows can also save a computer infected with malware or afflicted by blue-screens and other system problems caused by software issues.

 

Before we begin, back up all of your personal data. While you should back up your data regularly, it is especially important to do so before reinstalling an operating system.

 

Refresh or Reset Your PC (Windows 8 and newer)

Windows 8 includes ”Refresh your PC” and “Reset your PC” features that attempt to make installing Windows easier. Both of these options actually perform a Windows reinstall in the background, quickly installing a fresh Windows system from the recovery files on your computer’s drive, a Windows installation disc or USB drive.

 

The Refresh your PC feature saves your personal files and Windows Store apps, but it removes all your installed desktop programs. You’ll have to install all your desktop programs again, but that’s the point: You get a fresh Windows desktop system with all your system files in a known-good state.

 

 

 

Refreshing your PC will delete all of your programs and system files, but leave your personal files intact.

 

The Reset your PC feature wipes everything, including your personal files. It can even wipe your system drive so no one can recover those personal files later. This is the easiest way to remove your stuff from a PC before getting rid of it.

 

 

Resetting your PC is a lot like the old nuclear option of wiping the entire hard drive and starting anew. Your personal files and all of Windows’ system files will be deleted before Windows is reinstalled.

 

Both of these options are available in the modern PC settings app under Update and recovery > Recovery. If your computer isn’t booting properly, it will boot to the advanced startup options menu, where you can select Troubleshoot to refresh or reset your PC. You can also access these options by booting from a Windows recovery drive.

 

 

In Windows 8, you can refresh or reset your Windows installation from the Troubleshoot menu.

Use your manufacturer’s recovery partition or discs (Windows 7 or earlier)

In Windows 7 and previous versions of Windows, it’s up to the PC manufacturer to provide a recovery partition or recovery discs. Most manufacturers don’t include Windows installation discs with their computers.

If your computer has a recovery partition, run your manufacturer’s recovery tool to reinstall Windows. On many PCs, you’ll have to press a key during the boot process to access the recovery tool. This key may be displayed on your screen. It should also be printed in your computer’s manual.

If your computer comes with a recovery disc, you can also insert it in your computer’s optical drive and boot from it to begin reinstalling Windows. You’ll end up with the manufacturer’s like-new Windows system on your drive. All the original drivers will be installed, which is good, but all that nasty bloatware will also come back—that’s bad. You’ll have to remove unwanted junk software after you reinstall.

Howdy! Finally the exams are over, and thanks to our holy goat it wasn't too bad you know! So I decided to stop wasting time with those shits and do my job, i.e. blogging. Today I'm gonna discuss the easiest way to hide folders or files in android. You may need to hide folders because of your nasty cousin or because of ultra-personal stuffs (you know what I mean). And the best part about the process is that you don't need any third party app. Sounds interesting, no? So alright let the mission begin.


Stuffs You're Gonna Need:

1. A working android device.
2. A File Manager (default).
3. Few fingers to work with.
4. A Goat (optional).

First of all switch on your phone and unlock it (just kidding). Now open your file manager. For this tutorial, I'm using the default file manager of my Galaxy Y (don't laugh, old is gold).

Next go to your file manager settings and look for the term, Show Hidden Files/Folders. And enable/mark it as shown in the figure below. Then save your settings.

Now rename the existing folder you want to hide or create a new one. I'm gonna hide a pre-created folder named techabrel. While renaming the folder just add an extra dot (.) right before all the characters. And save it. Refer to the following screenshot for better understanding.

After that go to the file manager settings again and disable/unmark Show Hidden Files/Folders option. You're all done. The files at the folder will not be viewable at Gallery. Now you don't need to think twice before giving your handheld to your nasty cousin (only if s/he's not reading this article at the same time). Speedup the INTERNET.

God's everywhere, but not the network! Sometimes we want to break down our PC when a page takes freaking time to load. If you're using a modem or any low speed internet connection, you must be really irriated of your computer. There are many ways to speed up your internet connection. Though the tricks do not significantly increase your internet speed, sometimes even a little boost up can make a huge difference. 

First of all, try this easy registry trick, which doesn't work often. If you've tried it already skip to the next procedure.

Procedure 1: Registry Edit

1. Now Open Notepad and Type the Following Code into it. Then save the file as Speed.reg (Remember the extension must be .reg)

2. Now Execute (open) the file. You are done.This process doesn't really increase the net speed a lot. If it does, it's negligable. What does increase the net speed is the next tweak.

Procedure 2: Changing BPS Flow

First of all go to 'My Computer'. Then right click on blank place and then go to 'Properties'. After that go to the 'Hardware' tab and click 'Device Manager'. Okay, so now as you can see a window of some contents, find the 'Ports' and click on it and then a double click on 'Communication Port'. Then you should notice Communication Port's properties. Go to the 'Port Settings' and Increase the 'Bits Per Second' to the Maximum(i.e. 128000) and Change the 'Flow Control' to 'Hardware'. Check your net speed and see the results. If you're using Mozilla Firefox, then perhaps the next procedure is for you.

Procedure 3: Firefox Tweak

The internet speed can be easily increased a lot by this simple firefox tweak.This procedure is tested and it's working. Here's the tweak.

1. Firstly open Firefox. And in the URL bar type down - about:config and press enter. You'll be prompted to a warning page, press enter again (or simple click on I'll be careful, promise). You will then land on a page consisting of some crappy codes. Don't fear.
2. Now in the search bar (not in Google/Bing search bar, in the search bar at top of the page) type - network.http.pipe. Then a group of coding lines will appear. Amongst them change the value of network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to 32 from its default value just by double clicking on it.

3. And switch the value of network.http.pipelining to true, again by double tapping. Watch the following screenshot for clarification.

4. Now right click on any blank space in the window. Then select New >Boolean. When prompted, enter browser.turbo.enabled as the preference name. 

5. Next, in the search bar type browser.turbo.enabled. And double click on browser.turbo.enabled to switch its value to true from false.

6. After that close firefox and start it again. That's it. You've boosted up your net speed, check it out.

How To Make Your PC Fast Using Notepad Only!!

First of all, open Run by pressing Windows+R and then type notepad and hit Enter key.

Step 2: Disable software and services from Startup to fix Windows 10 slow boot-up issue

This step involves taking care of your Windows 10 startup settings. Here, you need to open the Task Manager by using the famous Ctrl, Shift and Esc – or by right-clicking on the Task Bar.
In the Task Manager, click on the Startup tab and disable the items with High rating in the Startup impact rating. However, you are advised to keep your antivirus software enabled.




Note that you can disable your Nvidia and AMD graphics driver from the startup without affecting the graphics performance of yours system.

Step 3: Enable FastStartup and to fix Windows 10 slow boot-up issue

In Windows 10, Microsoft enables the fast boot-up option and shutdown times using the special Hybrid Startup and Shutdown option. These options put the system into hibernation state and fixes the Windows 10 slow boot-up issue.
To make this change, you can either ask Cortana to “Open power options“- or you can launch the Control Panel and then head to the Power Options. 



Under the Power Options, click on  Choose What The Power Button Does from the left-hand side, then click Change Settings That Are Currently Unavailable.



Now you will be greeted with the list of options that were previously hidden. Here tick on the checkbox that says Turn On Fast Startup and save the changes.

Step 4: Use the Delayed Start for services to fix Windows 10 slow boot-up issue

After step 3, restart your Windows 10 PC and press Windows Key+R to reveal the Run box.
Here type services.msc and hit Enter. This will open a list of services that you need to scan to find the services that seem to be causing the Windows 10 slow boot-up issue. Right-click on those, open them, and change the setting from default to delayed start. Now, click save and exit the window.



This is it. Now you can restart your PC to witness a lot faster boot-up.
